SOUND MEDICINE.

Voice. Vibration. Frequency.

Why Sound for Healing?

Studies show that the healing power of sound produces measurable physiological responses such as (from oncologist, Mitchel L. Gaynor, MD in his book, The Healing Power of Sound):

  • lowered anxiety, heartbeat, and respiratory rate

  • reduced cardiac complications

  • lowered blood pressure

  • increased levels of immune-cell messenger molecules that help regulate the activity of other immune cells

  • drop in stress hormones that activate our body’s fight-or-flight response

  • boost in endorphins, “the brain’s natural painkillers’ which in turn help build a stronger immune system.

Since the earliest of times, sound has been a medicine of remembrance—carried through wild-skinned drums, chanting, song, and the human voice in prayer.

Our bodies can be tuned like musical instruments. When they are properly tuned we have a sense of well being and perfect self-expression.
